Clutch Cable

Clutch Cable

The clutch cable is used in manual transmission cars to connect the clutch pedal to the clutch mechanism. When you press the pedal, the cable pulls to disengage the clutch, allowing you to shift gears. Over time, the cable can stretch, fray, or even snap—causing a stiff pedal or difficulty shifting. If the clutch pedal suddenly feels loose or doesn’t return, the cable might be the culprit and should be replaced.
