Coolant

Coolant

Coolant, also known as antifreeze, is a fluid that helps regulate your engine's temperature. It absorbs heat from the engine and releases it through the radiator. Coolant also contains additives to prevent corrosion and freezing. Over time, it breaks down and can lose effectiveness, so it should be flushed and replaced according to your car’s maintenance schedule. Low coolant levels can cause overheating, poor heater performance, or even engine damage.
