Thermostat

Thermostat

The thermostat controls the flow of coolant between the engine and the radiator. It stays closed while the engine warms up, then opens when it reaches the proper temperature. A stuck-closed thermostat can cause overheating, while a stuck-open one may prevent the engine from warming up properly. Replacing it is a common fix for temperature-related issues and helps the engine run efficiently.
