Brake Booster

Brake Booster

The brake booster is a component that makes it easier to press the brake pedal by using vacuum pressure from the engine. It sits between the brake pedal and the master cylinder, amplifying the force applied by the driver. If the booster fails, braking will still work, but it’ll take much more pedal effort—something you'll notice immediately. Common signs of a failing booster include a hard brake pedal, hissing noises, or longer stopping distances.
